Spa Etiquette
How do I make a booking?
Simply phone reception by dialing 99 on your room phone to speak with one of the Grasmere team. If
you would like to speak to our qualified therapists about any of the treatments again dial 99,
if one of the therapists is available you will be connected directly, alternatively a therapist
will call you when available. You will usually see us at pre-dinner drinks or in the morning
at breakfast so we can answer any questions.
Where do I go? Mountain Spa at Grasmere Lodge is situated in the Homestead, where reception
greeted you at the front door upon your arrival. Simply ring the doorbell and a staff member
will seat you in the Library with a drink, or direct you to the treatment rooms.
What will I wear? Arrive showered wearing comfortable clothing. If you are having a pedicure
it is advisable to wear open toe shoes for the nail polish to dry, slip on shoes can be provided.
What will I wear during my treatment?
Maintaining your sense of dignity and comfort is of utmost importance to us. Our qualified
therapists are trained to drape correctly to ensure your comfort and privacy. For specialised
treatments we supply disposable underwear and disposable boxer shorts.
What if I have a special health condition?
Please inform your therapist of any health concerns. Our fully qualified therapist will
advise you with special conditions. During pregnancy, please notify us upon booking your
treatment to discuss available options.
What are the Mountain Spa hours?
Mountain Spa therapists live on-site and are committed to ensuring you enjoy a treatment tailored
to your needs. Treatments are available any time prior to pre-dinner drinks and Mountain
Spa is happy to do selected treatments after dinner upon request.
