Well winter is certainly knocking on the door here at Grasmere. After one of the most beautiful and seemingly long Autumns we have had, things are beginning to cool down. The beautiful colours we enjoyed for a good month with magical warm days have been raked away, waiting to feed the roses in a couple of years. All our firwood supplies are overflowing in anticipation of the crisp clear days ahead and the local chimney sweep has already been through.

Just as we have in previous years we are offering great winter rates with our Lodge rooms starting from $490 per person. The tariff includes pre-dinner drinks and canapés, a four-course gourmet evening meal, complimentary mini-bar and full breakfast. We also offer a complimentary 4WD tour of the farm property, which usually takes about an hour and a half. This winter we offer a complimentary upgrade to the next higher room category for all web based bookings (subject to availability).

Last year we enjoyed a great Ski Season at Porters (just 20minutes away) and this year with the brand new Café and ski/board rental complex complete we look forward to another bumper season. For the non skiers / boarders the new café makes for a fantastic scenic drive for a morning or afternoon coffee. Our close association with Helipro continues and we are currently working on some great Heli-ski options out of Grasmere, so watch this space.
